Let us introduce our latest HTML5 banner concept – Recommendation Chat Widget! The way it works is an overlay is displayed over the content of a website which closely resembles a messaging chat window. Then a stream of messages is displayed much like a conversation with a chat-bot. The displayed content can be both text messages and multimedia (such as images or video). The user can scroll inside the chat window to read the messages, react with one of the emojis and click on the links. We track all user interactions with the banner such as emoji reactions, scrolls and clicks.

We achieved amazing results with this format with a CTR of above 3.2% and Engagement Rate of about 5%. This concept can be used in a variety of ways and here are just a few examples:
In the example we have displayed here we used the format for a two step strategy for a cosmetic company. First, users were shown the first banner in which an influencer let’s them know about an exfoliating product and urges them to react with an emoji and click on the link to learn more. The text messages provide info about the product itself while the images give a visual representation to further portray the product in full. Once familiarized with the products, all users which had interacted with the first creative were remarketed with the second banner. This time it was as though the brand itself was sending them a message and even providing them with a limited time promo code for a discount! The concept proved very successful in terms of user engagement as it creates a sense of personal approach and communication between the client and brand.
